Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of purchasing, inventory, receiving, supply chain, or manufacturing experience who wants to expand their skills and take on increasing responsibility. You will play an important role in making sure our production team has the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right time . You'll work directly with suppliers and our purchasing, warehouse, production, and quality teams. What You'll Do Purchase Orders & Purchasing Create and issue purchase orders for materials, components, and supplies. Review purchasing requirements and inventory levels to determine what needs to be ordered. Monitor open POs and follow up with suppliers on delivery dates, quantities, and shortages. Communicate with suppliers to resolve order and delivery issues. Obtain and compare supplier pricing when needed. Maintain accurate purchasing records in our ERP system. Inventory Management Monitor inventory quantities and help identify items that need to be reordered. Assist with physical inventory counts. Research and help resolve inventory discrepancies. Work with purchasing and production to help prevent material shortages. Receiving Assist with receiving incoming materials and supplies. Compare shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Verify quantities and identify damaged, incorrect, or missing materials. Make sure receiving information is accurately recorded. Quality Control Assist with inspecting incoming materials for quality and conformance to specifications. Document and communicate material quality issues. Work with purchasing and suppliers to resolve quality problems. Help track recurring supplier and material issues. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, receiving, supply chain, or manufacturing. Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and follow-through skills. Basic to intermediate Excel skills. Ability to work with numbers, quantities, and inventory information. Good communication skills and confidence working with suppliers and coworkers. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with an ERP, MRP, or inventory management system is a plus. Manufacturing or furniture industry experience is a plus.
