Job Description

Position:
Scheduling / Purchasing Coordinator. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented production scheduler with component purchasing responsibilities to support our trailer manufacturing operation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring sales orders are scheduled and produced in a timely fashion while adhering to safety, operational procedures and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish daily, weekly and monthly production schedules. Reviews Production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation and department to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Plans sequence of operations for guidance of production workers. Advises Sales and Customer Services of any delays due to shortages or time requirements and relays new delivery dates as soon as possible. Complete POs needed to support the current production schedule. Interaction with team : Cross functional work with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations Team Structure Report to the Plant Manager.
Skills:
Three or more years in a planning and/or scheduling role. Prior experience working with an ERP system in a Manufacturing environment. Ability to follow up on multiple requests over a period of several days and enter key information into appropriate fields when applicable. Managing and performing the purchasing function for all parts required to fulfill customer orders. Track 3 party components to vendor and receiving back from vendor. Maintaining an inventory level in line with company goals, balancing lead time and inventory turn metrics. Complete all required POs to maintain inventory level.
Education & Experience Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. +3 years of experience with Microsoft's 365 Business Central (BC) software is preferred but not required. Must have ERP experience. Previous purchasing experience is required
