Job Description

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is looking for a Food Sourcing Specialist at the SE Ohio Foodbank in Logan. The Food Sourcing Specialist conducts outreach activities for food sourcing that will increase the amount of food available to support programs and partner pantries for the foodbank's ten-county service area. This role is responsible for cultivating food donor and partner relationships and collaborating with the Foodbank Coordinator to plan purchasing and product flow, demand planning, and allocation. The Specialist will also serve as liaison between our Retail rescue grocery stores and the pantry partners receiving their donations. The role will support efficient sourcing operations across the organization for core food distribution programs, senior nutrition, child nutrition, and health programs.
Preferred qualifications:
Three to five years of experience in food sourcing, procurement, donor or vendor relationship management, supply chain, retail operations, or a related field. A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. In addition, applicants must possess strong computer and organizational skills and the ability to communicate with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. A commitment to addressing the causes and conditions of poverty and hunger is essential. This is a full-time position within a dynamic, service-oriented work environment. The salary for this position starts and $37,500 annually and includes 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, a generous paid time off package, and a 401 (k) retirement plan with up to 6% employer matching, How to Apply To apply, please submit a resume.
