Job Description
Materials Buyer / Procurement Coordinator Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing supplier relationships and purchasing processes? We are seeking a Materials Buyer / Procurement Coordinator to support the procurement of materials essential to ongoing operations. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, coordinating purchases, working with suppliers, and ensuring accurate order tracking from requisition through delivery. What You'll Do Monitor inventory levels using internal tracking systems, including Power BI to identify materials that need replenishment. Research and verify approved suppliers through internal systems. Request and review supplier quotes, negotiate delivery timelines, and follow up as needed. Create and process purchase requisitions within the purchasing system. Coordinate import documentation and shipping requirements when applicable. Collaborate with suppliers, receivers, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and documentation within SharePoint and other tracking systems. Process change orders related to pricing, quantities, or freight costs. Communicate professionally with suppliers using approved templates and procurement standards. Assist suppliers with invoicing questions and direct them to appropriate resources. Provide regular updates and status clarification to internal stakeholders regarding material orders. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or buyer roles Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow established processes and maintain detailed documentation Experience working with suppliers and managing purchase orders Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills Technical Skills Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word SharePoint Power BI Experience working within purchasing or ERP systems is preferred Schedule Monday through Friday 40 hours per week 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM What Makes You Successful Detail-oriented and accurate Customer-service mindset with strong supplier relationship skills Ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Proactive, resourceful, and committed to continuous follow-up until issues are resolved If you enjoy coordinating purchasing activities, working with suppliers, and ensuring materials are available to support business operations, we'd love to hear from you!
