Job Summary:
Responsible for all actions necessary, or required, for buying any goods, materials, and services that are needed for the company to effectively continue the production of the company in compliance with Company policies, standards and other guidelines that may be included.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
1. Negotiates with vendors and makes purchases in support of Global TBM USA and subsidiaries: a. Any manufactured, mechanical, sub-contract machining, machined, etc. parts b. Any commodities that may include hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical components c. Raw materials such as steel, plastic, and rubber, as well as forgings, weldments, or castings 2. Responsible for established purchases orders from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to completion and closing of purchase order 3. Reviews and monitors purchase orders for cost, time and other potential situations that will impact on the successful completion of a purchase order, project, sales order, etc. 4. Works with domestic and international personnel to ensure purchase orders and requisitions are done according to established policies, procedures, and best practices. 5. Advises appropriate personnel for impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery 6. Responsible party as the primary liaison between Global TBM and vendors / suppliers for communication related to quoting, purchased orders, and other purchasing responsibilities 7. Manages suppliers to include but not limited to vendor selection, potential new suppliers, monitoring/auditing performance, quality, price / cost / invoice / budgetary, and compliance with Company policies and procedures 8. Acts as the purchasing liaison between projects and the purchasing team 9. Works with Global TBM Logistics and or Supplier Logistics to resolve shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues, looking for alternatives and or other means of mitigating the potential impact to cost and time. 10. Identifies and presents strategic and continuous improvements to make purchasing efficient 11. Supports purchasing in implementing and executing current business supply chain strategies and best practices 12. Manages strategic and difficult suppliers as required 13. Coaches, mentors, and trains other purchasing staff 14. Maintains list and identifies key vendors for major and mid-level commodities 15. Other assignments or special projects as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree or program is a plus
- 10+ years of manufacturing-related purchasing experience, preferably in a job shop environment
- Proven ability in negotiating with vendors, establishing contracts/agreements, with time and cost reduction results

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $76,500.00 per year
