SummarySupports the coordination of IV operations, including but not limited to the following: coordination and management of all inventory used in the cleanroom operations for the Main pharmacy and the Peds pharmacy satellite in support of the buyers; Environmental monitoring for all sites; all 503B inventory management and ordering including obtaining all appropriate quality reports and maintain quality profiles for all 503B sources; coordination with SDS for inventory management of CRRT bags and other IV fluids and supplies; coordination of IV room huddles at 0600 as needed; IV room representative on all drug shortage meetings; MSU TPA and KCentra training as requested; IV room scheduling in coordination with the pharmacy coordinator and Lead Compliance technician which includes the scheduling of Floor inspections; collaboration with Pharmacy Systems coordinator for Omnicell ; and collaborate with manager and Compliance Lead technician for all issues related to the IV room as required. IV room staffing and coverage for the IV Lead technician position will be required when needed. Job DutiesManages the IV room medication inventory (Peds RX, main RX) including but limited to SDS ordering, communication of ordering with Inventory coordinators. Effectively communicates wholesaler inventory needs to the Inventory Coordinators to ensure/maintain adequate supply of appropriate IV room inventory including supplies as well as medications Responsible for all 503B ordering and inventory management. This also includes maintaining appropriate quality reports as required. Fills medication orders from computer generated labels Assists with daily operations of the main pharmacy IV room as required/ Collaborates Systems Coordinator as needed for Omnicell issues and inventory management. Assists Pharmacy coordinator for IV room scheduling including but not limited to PTO, sick/call outs, Floor inspections and Other IV room responsibilities Represents the IV room at all drug shortage meetings and communicates any IV room needs to the IV team Collaborates closely with IV Team Lead technician and Pharmacy Operations manager to include but is not limited to coordination of staff training, competency assessments, Inventory management, technology/software issues. Minimum QualificationsAssociate's Degree or equivalent experience in pharmacy 7 years of sterile compounding experience in drug preparation (includes USP 797 and USP 800 regulations) CSPT

- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Within 180 Days and RPT
- Registered Pharmacy Technician
- State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications10 years of sterile compounding experience in drug preparation (includes USP 797 and USP 800 regulations) Working knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 regulations and has an understanding of sterile compounding best practices Working knowledge of inventory systems used within the department Leadership skills Additional QualificationsPhysical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs.
