Head of Sports Card Inventory About Us:

Breaks Are Us is one of the fastest-growing live sports card breaking companies in the country, selling millions of dollars in cards each month. We operate at high volume, move fast, and are building a best-in-class team across streaming, operations, and sourcing. We are looking for a Head of Inventory & Purchasing who lives and breathes sports cards and can operate at a high level in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for sourcing, valuing, and managing all inventory across the business. You will be the point person for purchasing decisions, pricing accuracy, and ensuring we are maximizing value on every card that comes through our doors. This is not an entry-level role. You must have deep, hands-on knowledge of the sports card market.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and comp cards quickly and accurately using tools like Card Ladder, eBay, and market knowledge Source and purchase inventory (singles, slabs, wax, collections) at scale Build and maintain relationships with dealers, collectors, and vendors Manage incoming inventory and ensure proper valuation before it enters breaks or repacks Identify trends, undervalued players/cards, and market opportunities Work closely with streaming and repack teams to align inventory with product strategy Maintain organization and tracking of high-value inventory

Requirements:

Deep knowledge of sports cards is mandatory (NFL, NBA, MLB; modern and vintage is a plus) Ability to comp cards fast and confidently without hesitation Experience buying/selling cards, building collections, or working in the hobby professionally Strong understanding of sets, parallels, case hits, print runs, and product configurations Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Highly detail-oriented and decisive In-person availability (this is not a remote role)

Preferred Experience:

Experience at a card shop, breaker, or marketplace seller Familiarity with Whatnot, TikTok Shop, or live breaking environments Existing network within the hobby (dealers, show contacts, etc.)
