Job Description
Purchasing Associate Key Responsibilities Daily Create and issue purchase orders (POs) for supplies and materials. Track delivery dates and maintain follow-up schedules for open orders. Communicate with vendors via phone and email regarding POs. Respond to Customer Service requests involving purchase order and sales order combinations. Review purchase orders, update notes, and maintain follow-up calendars. Authorize payments and maintain receipts, purchasing records, and inventory documentation. Obtain approvals for purchase orders on hold and process receipt of goods. Weekly Coordinate inbound and outbound vendor shipments, including required documentation. As Needed Communicate product availability to Inventory and Production teams. Coordinate shipment pickups and deliveries. Resolve vendor and shipment issues, including arranging replacements, rework, or credits. Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Monthly Review standing orders to ensure release dates remain on schedule. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of purchasing experience OR 3+ years of general administrative experience Technical Skills Experience creating and managing purchase orders. ERP system experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders. Other Qualifications Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
