Apply Now The Strategic Sourcing Lead - IT Procurement is responsible for developing and executing enterprise category and sourcing strategies across key Information Technology spend categories including Software, Cloud, Telecommunications, Hardware, Cybersecurity, Professional Services, Managed Services, and Digital Technology solutions. You will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide category strategies to optimize total cost of ownership, improve working capital, enhance supplier performance, reduce risk, and ensure continuity of critical technology services. The role serves as a strategic business partner to IT and business leadership, providing market intelligence, sourcing expertise, supplier governance, and commercial leadership for strategically significant technology spend categories. The role is accountable for delivering enterprise-wide cost savings, productivity improvements, working capital objectives, supplier performance, innovation, risk mitigation, technology lifecycle optimization, and service continuity across assigned IT categories. In this role, you will report to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager based from either Morris Plains, NJ or Houston, TX on a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Develop and execute IT category and sourcing strategies aligned with business and technology objectives. Lead complex sourcing initiatives, including RFx events, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management. Manage strategic supplier relationships and governance programs to drive performance, innovation, and service excellence. Identify and deliver cost savings through spend optimization, vendor consolidation, licensing management, and cloud cost reduction initiatives. Partner with IT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to support technology roadmaps and transformation initiatives. Assess and mitigate supplier, cybersecurity, operational, and business continuity risks. Provide market intelligence, category insights, and recommendations to senior leadership. Track savings, supplier performance, and sourcing KPIs while driving continuous process improvement. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, IT procurement, or supplier management. Experience sourcing technology categories including software, SaaS, cloud services, hardware, telecommunications, managed services, and IT consulting. Proven success leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating technology agreements, including SaaS, cloud, software licensing, MSA, and SOW contracts. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills. Experience with supplier governance, contract management, spend analysis, and procurement technologies (SAP, eSourcing, or similar platforms). Preferred Qualifications Experience with software licensing, cloud cost optimization, cybersecurity, and third-party risk management. Knowledge of major technology suppliers such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Dell, HPE, Cisco, NTT, LTM, TCS or similar. Professional certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or Six Sigma. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
