Approximately 15% domestic W2 Only | No C2C The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead packaging sourcing initiatives within a large consumer products/manufacturing organization. This is a senior-level individual contributor position with no direct reports . You'll independently own sourcing workstreams, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, analyze pricing and market data, and work across Procurement, Operations, Supply, R&D, Quality, and Finance. We're particularly interested in candidates coming from the

CPG/FMCG

industry, preferably food manufacturing , with hands-on direct-materials and packaging sourcing experience. What You'll Do Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for packaging and direct materials Manage supplier relationships and lead supplier negotiations Negotiate and develop contracts beyond basic commercial terms Analyze spend, pricing, market data, and commercial scenarios Manage commodity/index-based pricing and pricing agreements Support forecasting, budgets, and purchase price variance (PPV) Develop sourcing recommendations and drive them through execution Partner across Procurement, Operations, Supply, R&D, Quality, and Finance Identify savings and value-creation opportunities Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority The role is measured in part on pricing-forecast accuracy, contracts completed on time, savings/value initiatives, and accurate pricing reviews. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience 2+ years of packaging sourcing experience - required Strong supplier negotiation and contract-development experience Experience with CPG/FMCG, preferably food manufacturing Direct-materials sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment Strong analytical skills across spend, pricing, market data, and commercial scenarios Experience with commodity/index-based pricing Financial understanding of forecasts, budgets, and PPV Advanced Excel SAP experience is a plus Ability to independently take ownership of a sourcing workstream and drive it forward Packaging is a true gate here—the intake specifically identifies lack of packaging experience as an automatic disqualifier.
