Job Summary:

Bouldin & Lawson, LLC is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for managing the purchasing of materials and components from initial sourcing and purchase order placement through delivery and final resolution of any issues. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with vendors and internal production teams to ensure materials are available when needed, while balancing cost, quality and delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate when appropriate, monitor purchasing commitments, and recognize potential supply issues before they impact production. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that effective purchasing directly affects production efficiency, customer commitments and the company's bottom line.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the purchasing of materials and components required for manufacturing operations. Review production requirements and plan purchasing activity around the factory's production schedule. Issue and manage purchase order while maintaining accurate purchasing records. Monitor open purchase orders and actively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries. Identify potential material shortages and/or vendor delays early and communicate them to the appropriate personnel. Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing suppliers. Work with vendors to obtain competitive pricing while maintaining and adhering to the required quality and delivery standards. Evaluate suppliers' performance, and address any recurring issues with quality, pricing or delivery. Coordinate the return and replacement of damaged, defective, incorrect, or unacceptable materials. Work with vendors to resolve purchasing issues quickly efficiently and fairly. Communicate effectively with production and other departments regarding material availability and expected deliveries. Research alternate suppliers and materials when necessary. Maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple vendors, purchase order, and deadlines simultaneously. Look for opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, improve delivery performances and strengthen the company's supplier base.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have high school Diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass a drug screening Proficiency with computer operations, apps, programs and files of daily use. Strong communications and organizational skills

• Prior purchasing experience- (procurement, manufacturing, supply chain or related experience preferred.
