Open-ended contract (12+ months) Summary Results-driven procurement professional responsible for purchasing civil and structural materials to support construction and capital projects. Partners with project teams, field personnel, and suppliers to ensure material availability, cost effectiveness, and on-time delivery. Manages the full purchasing cycle, including vendor communication, quote evaluation, purchase order administration, and supplier relationship management. Key Responsibilities Procure civil and structural materials in support of project schedules, budget requirements, and operational needs. Evaluate material specifications, supplier quotations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements. Solicit and analyze vendor pricing, lead times, availability, and delivery commitments to support purchasing decisions. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers to optimize value and ensure supply continuity. Create, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate quantities, pricing, delivery terms, and supporting documentation. Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve order, delivery, quality, and invoicing issues. Collaborate with project managers, field operations, engineering teams, and vendors to maintain material flow and meet project milestones. Maintain strong supplier relationships and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and procurement efficiencies. Track purchasing activities and communicate material status, delivery schedules, and procurement risks to stakeholders. Support inventory planning and material forecasting activities to minimize shortages and project delays. Qualifications Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain operations. Experience reviewing technical specifications, vendor quotations, contracts, purchase orders, and procurement documentation. Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement activities across multiple projects. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and purchasing requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP procurement systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing materials for construction, industrial, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects. Experience reviewing civil and structural drawings and validating material requirements against bills of materials (BOMs). Experience with ERP systems and purchase order management processes. Knowledge of supplier negotiations, contract administration, and strategic procurement practices.
