Banquet Lead & ServerPOSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Supervise and assist in set up and breakdown of all Food & Beverage Club Activities, Private Events and Off-Site Catering needs of Members and/or Guests. When not working banquets, regular serving/bartending shifts will be included.Server:
$8.50/hour plus percentage of sales and earned gratuityBanquet Lead:
$14/hour and earned gratuityESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of all private event and member functions, following tasks to the highest standards and adhering to function BEO's Assist with the planning, organizing and execution of all banquet functions including, but not limited to, breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, golf tournaments, board and committee meetings and more Conduct lineup prior to each event. Participate in and lead department meetings Process banquet checks accurately and efficiently immediately following scheduled functions Operate as a banquet server; setting-up, greeting and serving the guests along with breaking-down the function Inspect banquet areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean Effectively supervise the banquet staff during all food and beverage services Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in the complete operation of the Banquet Department Project leadership and teamwork qualities at all times in addition to a positive attitude. Perform any other job-related duties and tasks as assigned by manager Other Accountabilities Responsible for general safety on club grounds. Responsible for keeping club neat and organized prior to leaving the shift. Accountable for all equipment (cleanliness, reporting to manager if broken, and proper storage). Check the schedule to ensure that the right amount of service staff are scheduled for the next shift. Prior food and beverage/catering experience preferred. Previous banquet captain experience required. Organization and planning skills. Must be TABC Certified. Must demonstrate a positive attitude at all times. Must provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers. Working Conditions High noise level, fast pace environment. Must be able to bend and lift up to 25 lbs.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
