At BPG-USA, we're dedicated to innovation, craftsmanship, and quality. We're seeking a Buyer . In this role, you will be responsible for procuring raw materials and production supplies to support manufacturing operations while ensuring material availability, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and fostering strong supplier relationships. The Buyer plays a key role in supporting production schedules by coordinating timely deliveries and providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
- Purchase raw materials and production supplies, including paper, pressroom materials, bindery supplies, and other manufacturing-related products.
- Ensure materials are delivered on time to support production schedules while maintaining effective communication with internal departments and suppliers.
- Process purchase orders using established supplier agreements and pricing.
- Maintain current material pricing and vendor information within the purchasing system to ensure purchase order accuracy.
- Communicate updated material pricing and availability to the appropriate internal stakeholders as directed.
- Process supplier claims and resolve invoice pricing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels of non-allocated materials and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and historical pricing information.
- Partner with the Procurement Director and cross-functional teams to support sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to provide responsive, high-quality service.
- Support other Purchasing Department activities and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
