Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Buyer II/III to drive supplier accountability, improve delivery performance, and support critical purchasing activities across multiple service and supply categories. This role is heavily focused on supplier management, order follow-up, and issue resolution rather than traditional sourcing alone. You will be responsible for tracking open purchase orders, reducing overdue deliveries, securing supplier commitments, escalating schedule risks, and working directly with vendors to improve on-time performance. Daily responsibilities include monitoring procurement metrics, maintaining supplier communications, resolving order discrepancies, and ensuring purchase orders progress smoothly from requisition through payment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and persistent in managing supplier relationships and driving results. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to address supply chain challenges, evaluate supplier performance, conduct price analyses, support contract implementation, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in procurement, supplier performance management, government-regulated environments, or technical industries such as aerospace or advanced manufacturing is highly desirable.

Compensation:

$50 - $75.00/hr. depending on level and location
