Job Description

Do you have 3+ years of purchasing and supply chain management experience in a wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Then this Purchasing Specialist opportunity could be a great fit for you! Our client is a leading supplier of quality tools to major retailers and distributors. As a Purchasing Specialist, you'll support daily purchasing operations by coordinating with vendors, tracking inbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring purchase orders are completed correctly and on time. Your work will play a key role in keeping products moving efficiently through the supply chain and supporting internal departments with accurate information. This is a Direct Hire placement opportunity.
Purchasing Specialist Duties :
Monitor open purchase orders, identify delays, and escalate issues as needed. Manage fills and back orders. Track delivery commitments and follow up with vendors to keep orders on schedule. Manage inventory and supply chain process for all products. Monitor inbound freight, container schedules, and shipment milestones to provide visibility to internal departments. Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, packing lists, and inventory records.
Schedule :
Day Shift Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pay :
$28 - $34 per hour plus annual bonus potential
Purchasing Specialist Requirements :
At least 3 years of purchasing or buying experience in a wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills, EXCEL advanced Demonstrated previous KPI and Metric ownership Experience coordinating with vendors regarding availability, lead times, and product readiness.
