Not Available Buyer/Planner (Manufacturing/Prod Planning/Inventory Control Exp Req) Description Our client in the tissue and paper manufacturing industry is looking for a Buyer/Planner to join their operations team. In this role you will be responsible for production scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relationship management. You will ensure raw materials flow efficiently from supplier to production line. If you enjoy the manufacturing process, are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have strong communication, ERP, and decision-making skills, this may be the perfect role for you. Buyer/Planner (Manufacturing/Prod Planning/Inventory Control Exp Req) Responsibilities Build and manage daily/weekly production schedules to meet demand and business objectives Ensure materials, labor, and production resources are aligned to manufacturing schedule Convert customer orders into production plans and scheduling requirements Monitor production performance output; identify variances/adjust schedules as needed Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to drive on-time delivery Lead MRP-driven purchasing activities across two facilities Maintain optimal raw material, finished goods inventory levels Monitor inventory accuracy and need for replenishment in timely manner Evaluate/source suppliers against quality, cost, delivery standards; maintain key relationships Maintain pricing agreements; review quotations and issue PO's per company policy Develop vendor performance metrics and supplier scorecards Maintain accurate ERP records - inventory, purchasing, material tracking updated in real time Ensure effective recordkeeping during manufacturing process from receipt to finished goods Communicate proactively on supply disruptions, delays, and production issues across operations Partner with Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Plant Leadership on shared objectives Buyer/Planner (Manufacturing/Prod Planning/Inventory Control Exp Req) Qualifications 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain required Vendor and supplier management experience required Experience with ERP/MRP system required Strong mathematical skills required About #twiceasnice Recruiting Across industries, roles, and North America, we help clients quickly attract top talent with custom-built searches.
