Job Description

Purchasing & Estimating Coordinator Position Overview - DIRECT HIRE We are looking for a dependable and organized Purchasing & Estimating Coordinator to help with the day-to-day coordination of materials, vendor pricing, purchase orders, and project estimates. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with numbers and vendors, and keeping multiple projects moving forward. You'll work with different departments to make sure materials are ordered correctly, pricing is up to date, and projects have what they need to stay on schedule. The role offers a nice mix of purchasing, estimating, administrative work, and project support.
Schedule:
Day Shift — 7:00 AM start time Responsibilities Prepare and process purchase orders and make sure information is accurate. Contact vendors to request pricing, availability, and delivery information. Compare quotes and help identify the best purchasing options. Follow up with vendors regarding orders, shipping, and delivery dates. Track materials and purchase orders from the time they are ordered until they arrive. Help resolve issues involving delays, shortages, incorrect items, or pricing discrepancies. Review invoices and receiving paperwork to make sure everything matches. Assist with inventory and material tracking. Help gather information needed for project estimates. Review drawings, project information, and job requirements to determine material needs. Collect material and labor pricing for estimates. Request quotes from outside vendors and subcontractors. Review estimates for accuracy and completeness. Keep pricing, vendor, part, and purchasing information organized and updated. Enter and maintain item or part information within company software. Work with other departments to help keep projects and production schedules on track. Look for opportunities to improve pricing and reduce costs. Provide general administrative support as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in purchasing, estimating, manufacturing, project coordination, or a similar position preferred. At least 1 year of related work experience. Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP, purchasing, inventory, or estimating systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once. Comfortable communicating with vendors and coworkers. Able to work independently and follow through on tasks. Reliable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines. Comfortable working with pricing, purchasing, and other confidential business information. #
AP Pay:
$25.55 - $28.77 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
