We are looking for an experienced Sr. Buyer to support procurement and supply operations for a manufacturing site in Riverton, Utah. This is a Contract position focused on securing critical materials, strengthening supplier performance, and helping keep production aligned with demand. The role will work closely with operations, inventory, engineering, and logistics teams to improve purchasing efficiency, control costs, and maintain a reliable flow of materials.

Responsibilities:

• Direct purchasing activity for production materials and strategic commodities, including significant emphasis on aluminum sourcing.
• Evaluate spend patterns and supplier options to uncover savings, improve value, and reduce unnecessary purchasing costs.
• Balance material availability with forecasted demand to help maintain appropriate inventory levels without disrupting production.
• Keep vendor information current by managing pricing details, lead times, order updates, and related purchasing records.
• Coordinate purchase orders and delivery timing so materials arrive in line with manufacturing schedules and project milestones.
• Partner with freight and logistics contacts to support timely shipments, accurate paperwork, and compliance with transportation agreements.
• Work with receiving, inventory, and production teams to match incoming supply with operational requirements.
• Review market conditions and sourcing data to support benchmarking, cost analysis, and broader procurement strategy decisions.
• Monitor supplier results, respond to service or quality concerns, and contribute to recurring supplier performance reviews.
• Prepare purchasing reports and KPI summaries while supporting vendor onboarding, audit readiness, and other compliance documentation.
