In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination and execution of international and domestic shipping operations, ensuring seamless transportation management and compliance with trade regulations. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster strong client relationships, and support the growth of our supply chain solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced logistics environment, leveraging your expertise in freight forwarding logistics, sales management, and transportation planning to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. Duties Supervise daily freight forwarding operations, including air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and trucking logistics, ensuring timely and accurate shipments. Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to facilitate smooth transportation management across all modes of shipping logistics. Manage client relationships through proactive communication, account management, and customer service excellence to enhance client satisfaction and retention. Oversee the use of transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM software to track shipments, optimize routes, and maintain detailed data entry records. Lead negotiations with carriers and freight brokers to secure competitive rates while maintaining trade compliance with international trade regulations. Drive lead generation efforts by identifying new business opportunities within the logistics sales sector, including 3PL (third-party logistics) solutions. Ensure adherence to trade compliance standards, customs documentation accuracy, and international trade regulations throughout all shipping processes. Support inside sales activities by providing logistical expertise during client consultations and sales negotiations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation planning, shipping logistics efficiency, and customer satisfaction metrics to continuously improve operations. Qualifications Required Experience Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, NVOCC, or transportation industry. Proven experience leading operational teams and managing day-to-day freight forwarding activities. Strong knowledge of ocean freight, air freight, documentation, customs, and domestic transportation operations. Required Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Process improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
