Freight Administrator - Full Time Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions - Romeoville, IL Posted on 07/30/26 (
Ref:
) Sandvik Mining & Rock is recruiting for a Freight Administrator for our Romeoville warehouse Outbound Operations on our 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 8:00AM-4:30PM). As the Freight Administrator you will be responsible for scling pick-ups with carriers, preparing shipping documents and following up on customer inquiries with internal and external stakeholders. Main responsibilities
Include:
Manage carrier changes Scling, quoting, and routing of Truckload and Expedited shipments Ensure all consignments are shipped in the most cost-effective way and are in adnce with shipping guidelines Process unrouteable orders: Criticality 1 shipments for US, Canada, Mexico, and international shipments Prepare shipping documents: Bills of Lading, SLI's, Commercial Invoices, etc. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve shipping documentation issues or missed shipments Follow-up on daily inquiries for carrier change requests, expedited/must ship requests, exceptions and shipment tracking. Maintain integrity of freight management systems Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders May perform other duties and participate in other projects as required within the department Warehouse administration and housekeeping Other duties as assigned due to business needs Experience and Required Competencies Minimum 2 years previous experience in a transportation environment including domestic and international shipments Previous experience in a Transportation Management System Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills Stronganizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strongputer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES
High School or equivalent experience. Post-secondarycation/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage.

Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to the base salary range for this position is $26.00-$27.50 based on experience and, exclusive of fringe benefits and shift differentials.
