Job Description
Keep Freight Moving Through the NightA leading transportation and logistics company in the Chattanooga area is seeking Third Shift Tracking Representatives to join its overnight operations team. In this role, you'll monitor shipments throughout the night, communicate with drivers, update tracking information, and identify and escalate issues that could impact on-time delivery.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
What You'll DoTrack and trace shipments to ensure freight is progressing on scheduleCommunicate directly with drivers and carriers by phone to obtain current locations and shipment updatesPerform check calls throughout the shipment lifecycleAccurately enter driver and shipment updates into the tracking systemIdentify and escalate late or at-risk shipmentsCommunicate important shipment updates to internal teamsMaintain accurate and up-to-date information in internal systemsWork through assigned lists of shipments and follow loads through deliveryRespond to customer or carrier questions regarding shipment status as neededWhat We're Looking ForThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, task-focused work and can stay productive with minimal supervision. You don't need to be highly outgoing, but you should be comfortable communicating professionally with drivers over the phone.
Candidates with backgrounds in call centers, customer service, data entry, administrative support, dispatch, transportation, or logistics may be especially well suited for this opportunity. Recent graduates and candidates early in their careers are also encouraged to apply.
