This person will be assisting the shipping manager to complete orders that are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. They must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have a knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. They must also have experience doing local deliveries. Local deliveries will be about 50% of the job with the other 50% preparing jobs to be shipped and helping the shipping manager with any other duties necessary. Forklift and pallet jack experience is needed. Responsibilities Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders Organize pallets around the plant using forklift and pallet jacks Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders Resolve issues regarding shipped orders Deliver product to customers in a safe and timely manner Skills Experience in preparing shipping documents Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) Attention to detail Problem-solving abilities Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certified preferred High school diploma
