The Chief of Staff increases the effectiveness of the CEO and executive leadership team by translating strategic priorities into coordinated action, facilitating cross-functional execution, preparing the CEO for key decisions and engagements, supporting Board activities, and ensuring timely follow-through on organizational commitments. The position serves as a trusted advisor, strategic project leader, executive office manager and organizational connector while respecting the functional authority of the organization's executive and clinical leaders. Core responsibilities CEO Effectiveness Manage and coordinate CEO priorities. Prepare briefing materials, decision documents, and talking points. Coordinate CEO follow-up and commitments. Support executive correspondence and communications. Manage selected executive-level relationships and special initiatives. Strategic Execution Coordinate implementation of organizational strategic priorities. Maintain strategic initiative dashboards. Track milestones, owners, risks and dependencies. Identify barriers requiring executive intervention. Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving. Executive Leadership Coordinate executive leadership meetings and agendas. Track decisions and action items. Facilitate communication across executive functions. Identify emerging organizational issues and elevate them appropriately. Board Support Coordinate the annual Board calendar with the CEO and Board leadership. Support preparation of Board agendas and materials. Prepare CEO briefing materials. Track Board actions and follow-up. Support Board retreats and strategic planning activities. Special Projects Lead CEO-directed strategic projects. Conduct research and analysis. Develop recommendations and implementation plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams. Executive Office Coordinate CEO calendar priorities. Support travel and executive scheduling. Coordinate executive meetings and events. Maintain confidential records and information. Provide administrative support as appropriate.
