Function:
Oversees Club operations and programs with primary concern for program development and implementation; staff development; supervision of assigned staff; facilities; technology; transportation; and budget management.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
(not all-inclusive)Leadership :
Oversees the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.Strategic Planning :
Oversees the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness based on participation and achievement of stated goals; recommends modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate.Board Development:
Supports Board Committees, as assigned. Co-leads the Board led Safety Committee.Resource Management :
In conjunction with the Director of Finance, coordinates agency budget development; monitors and explains variances in revenues and expenditures. Manages administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and other facilities. Manages performance of assigned staff in achieving goals, providing technical assistance in program design, development, community relations and program operations. In conjunction with Human Resources Director, Organizational Trainer and CEO, plans and implements a staff development and training program.Partnership Development :
Develops collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families and community organizations, in conjunction with the Volunteer and Community Relations Manager.Marketing and Public Relations :
Participates in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services and activities. Identifies, establishes and participates in activities to maintain good public relations of Club programs, services, fund raising and other activities.Risk Management :
Oversees insurance requirements/compliance expectations. Identifies potential risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or mission of the organization with strategies to minimize impact.Additional Responsibilities :
May assist in the administration of restricted programs by overseeing program operations at each location; ensure the completion of required reports; and preparation of any required interagency reports.Supervision:
Club Directors, Transportation, Facilities and Technology.Relationships Internal:
Maintain close daily contact with assigned Directors and other staff to provide technical assistance in matters of programming and operations; interacts regularly with President and as assigned with Board Committee members.External:
Maintain contact with eternal community groups, schools and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club activities/events.Requirements:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(not all inclusive) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of seven years' work experience in non-profit agency operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Considerable knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations. Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; facilities management; and budget management. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies. Strong Organization, Time Management Skills, and ability to set Priorities Obtain strong Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, High Level of Energy and Flexibility Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, and Attention to Detail The Individual must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required to stand, walk, and sit. Must be able to work in office at the Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County in Bradenton, FL; Monday- Friday.
