Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and a commitment to excellence. In this pivotal role you will oversee all aspects of organizational operations, assessing short-term and long-term needs, maintaining constant interface with owners, Board of Directors, standing/special committees, and staff to promote harmonious handling of conflicting interests. Maintain positive community interaction with Dahlonega and Lumpkin county. Deliver efficient fiscal results with emphasis on new ownership sales and retention of current owners. Ensure a safe, well-maintained physical environment and compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Display a calm, professional demeanor in dealing with a diverse body of stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, dedicated leader eager to make a meaningful impact. Duties Work with the R-Ranch Board and Committees to achieve operational objectives, prudent financial management and service to owners. Lead a team of 30 or more part-time and full-time staff, including maintenance, housekeeping, administrative and accounting, sales, events, security and horse stable operations on over 800 acres of mountain terrain, pastures, streams and lakes, RV sites, cabins and related common areas, plus a 13,000 square-foot lodge and large swimming pool. Provide input to the BOD and status reporting regarding marketing and sales, revenue and expenditures, and owner service issues. Participate in strategic planning with the BOD and all related committees in support of R-Ranch business goals and objectives. Manage organizational budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure responsible resource allocation to maximize impact. Lead efforts in staff supervision, training, and professional development to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce. Ensure owners, employees and visitors are dealt with in a fair, friendly and consistent manner, exemplifying excellent customer service skills. Oversee administrative functions including reporting, documentation, owner communication, and quality assurance processes. Requirements Strong oral and written communications skills. College degree required, Master's Degree a plus. Extensive experience may offset lack of degree. Minimum of 5 years in hospitality and property of facilities management that includes interaction with the public, property owners, executive management and/or Board of Directors, and regulatory representatives. Experience with a non-profit and/or resort organization preferred. Experience with farming or rachning operations with exposure to livestock and pasture managagement also a plus. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse community stakeholders effectively. Knowledge and skills in personal and property security, safety, first aid, CPR/AED and first responder procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in Salesforce, including ability to function as system administrator is a plus, as well as familiarity with website functionality and business use of social media. Ability to delegate while maintaining accountability. Availability and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed, including weekends, holidays and evenings for special events. Ability to conduct sales/marketing tours as needed. Ability to meet as needed and communicate effectively with R-Ranch's CPA and attorney. Ability to multi-task with a substantial administrative workload. Ability to professionally handle a variety of owner complaints, service request and conflict resolution.
