Shenanigans Irish Pub is a busy, well-known pub in Dahlonega with a loyal local following and plenty of visitors. We're looking for experienced servers who bring energy, professionalism, personality, and genuine hospitality to every shift.

Minimum experience:

3+ years restaurant experience At least 1 year serving experience Weekend availability is required We are not hiring seasonal employees

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your job is simple: take great care of your guests and help the entire team have a great shift.

That includes:

Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming first impression Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS Know the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, daily specials, and promotions Make thoughtful recommendations and confidently upsell when appropriate Serve food and drinks accurately and promptly Check back with guests and anticipate their needs Handle questions and concerns professionally and involve management when needed Verify IDs for alcoholic beverage purchases Maintain clean, organized tables and server stations Keep your section and surrounding areas clean throughout your shift Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar Deliver checks and accurately handle payments Follow Full Hands In / Full Hands Out service standards Complete opening, closing, prep, stocking, and side-work responsibilities Assist with large parties, upstairs dining, outdoor dining, and busy service periods Follow health department and restaurant safety standards Participate in required training and staff meetings

THE SHENANIGANS ENVIRONMENT

This isn't a slow, quiet restaurant. We're a busy Irish pub with a high-energy atmosphere , indoor and outdoor dining, an upstairs dining room, and a constant flow of guests. You need to be comfortable with: Busy nights. Loud rooms. Large parties. Multiple tables. Outdoor service. Upstairs service. Changing priorities. If you thrive when things get busy, you'll probably fit right in. If you need someone standing beside you telling you what to do every five minutes, this probably isn't the job for you.

WHAT YOU NEED

1+ year of serving experience 3+ years of restaurant experience preferred Weekend availability required Evening and holiday availability as needed Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Strong communication and listening skills Basic computer/POS experience Ability to work independently and under pressure Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally more Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to repeatedly reach, kneel, stoop, and crouch Ability to serve both upstairs and outdoor dining areas High school diploma or equivalent
