Job Description

Subcontracts Administrator IIILocation:

San Diego, CA (Onsite)About the Role We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Administrator III to support complex aerospace and defense programs through the full subcontract lifecycle. In this role, you will manage procurement and subcontract activities from supplier identification and solicitation through negotiation, award, performance management, and closeout. This position offers the opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Operations, while working on mission-critical programs supporting national defense objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong subcontract administration experience, supplier management expertise, negotiation skills, and a working knowledge of government contracting requirements. Key Responsibilities

+ Lead cradle-to-grave subcontract administration activities, including supplier sourcing, solicitation, award, administration, performance monitoring, and closeout.

+ Develop and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for software, hardware, payloads, components, equipment, and professional services.

+ Evaluate supplier proposals for technical, commercial, and regulatory compliance requirements.

+ Perform price and cost analyses to support fair and reasonable pricing determinations using market research, competitive quotes, historical data, and benchmarking techniques.

+ Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms and conditions, Statements of Work (SOWs), and long-term agreements.

+ Conduct supplier qualification assessments and support supplier audits to ensure quality, capability, and compliance requirements are met.

+ Prepare and administer subcontract agreements, modifications, change orders, extensions, and related documentation.

+ Ensure subcontract activities comply with applicable company policies, procurement procedures, and government contracting requirements, including FAR and DFARS regulations.

+ Monitor supplier performance and partner with vendors to proactively resolve delivery, quality, and contractual issues.

+ Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to align subcontract strategies with program objectives and business goals.

+ Support procurement activities across multiple contract types, including Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), and Time-and-Materials (T&M).

+ Maintain accurate subcontract records and documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.

+ Utilize SAP, SharePoint, and advanced Excel tools, including pivot tables, to track procurement activities and support reporting requirements.

+ Drive continuous process improvements within subcontract administration, supplier management, and procurement operations. Required Qualifications

+ Experience managing full lifecycle subcontracts and procurements from supplier identification through contract closeout.

+ Strong background in supplier proposal evaluation, subcontract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.

+ Demonstrated experience performing price analysis and determining fair and reasonable pricing.

+ Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contracting requirements.

+ Experience administering subcontract agreements, modifications, and change management activities.

+ Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

+ U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Contracts, or a related field.

+ Experience within the aerospace, defense, government contracting, or highly regulated industries.

+ Knowledge of government contract types, including CPFF, FFP, and T&M.

+ Experience supporting DCMA interactions, supplier audits, and compliance reviews.

+ Proficiency with SAP, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and data analysis tools).

+ Knowledge of procurement compliance, contract administration, and supplier risk management practices. Why Join Us?

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110420.00 - $110420.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
