Job Description
Contract Manager (Contractor) We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support multiple business lines with a primary focus on retaining and growing our existing client base. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in contract negotiation, interpreting complex terms, and developing renewal strategies that align with established organizational guardrails. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and driving client satisfaction and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead contract negotiations with clients across multiple business lines, ensuring terms are commercially viable and compliant with internal policies. Review, draft, and interpret complex contractual language, identifying risks and opportunities. Partner with service, finance, sales, and legal teams to align on client retention and renewal efforts. Recommend renewal and retention strategies based on existing contracts, business priorities, and defined guardrails. Oversee contract renewals to ensure timely completion of all required activities. Serve as a trusted advisor on contract terms, risk assessment, and best practices in client negotiations. Support continuous improvement in contract management processes and tools. Advise senior/executive management and corporate legal on critical relationship and agreement issues. Provide financial analysis of transactions for NOI and P&L impacts, as well as planning and budgeting purposes.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of contract management experience, including direct responsibility for client-facing negotiations. Strong knowledge of contract law principles and ability to interpret and simplify complex terms. Proven track record in developing and executing successful contract renewal strategies. Ability to manage a high-volume workload across multiple business lines while maintaining accuracy and quality. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach. Ability to influence and communicate with professionalism, composure, and integrity.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in financial services or similar industries. Degree in Business, Law, or related field (JD or Paralegal background a plus)
