In this role, you will provide vital support in managing workers' compensation claims, ensuring efficient case handling, and assisting attorneys with legal research, document preparation, and client communication. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help streamline processes and contribute to successful outcomes for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in workers' compensation law while supporting a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with the management of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, including case intake, documentation, and follow-up. Conduct legal research related to workers' compensation statutes, procedural law, and relevant regulations to support case strategies. Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and insurance carriers. Maintain accurate case files using CasePeer Communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on case status. Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, or depositions by reviewing case materials and coordinating schedules. Handle confidential information with integrity while adhering to privacy laws and professional standards. Skills Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law procedures, litigation support, and legal research techniques. Proficiency in legal support software such as Westlaw, and document review platforms. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for client interaction, drafting clear legal writing, and collaborating with team members. Experience with legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading, and document management systems. Familiarity with procedural law requirements specific to civil litigation support within workers' compensation cases. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document drafting and data management.
