We are seeking an experienced Engineering Administrator to work on-site at our Grand Rapids, MI. location with a customer service attitude and a positive personality. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
Primary responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings within QAD ERP for new and existing parts. Enter and manage new part introduction and processing information accurately and in a timely manner. Generate and manage Purchase Orders within QAD, ensuring accuracy. Monitor and manage multiple concurrent systems and workflows, including: Print Releases Process Changes Early Part Orders / Labeling Review and verify all data entries for accuracy, proactively identifying and correcting errors before they impact downstream operations. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, and Production teams to ensure part and process data is current, consistent, and correctly reflected across all systems. Maintain organized documentation and records to support traceability and audit readiness. Continuously learn new systems and tools as they are introduced, adapting quickly to evolving processes
Qualifications:
Engineering background (technical training, math aptitude or equivalent Engineering Administrator hands-on experience). Working knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings. Hands-on experience entering new part and processing information into the QAD ERP system. Previous experience creating and generating Purchase Orders in QAD. Strong multi-tasking ability with demonstrated experience managing multiple systems or workstreams simultaneously. Highly detail-oriented with a proven habit of double-checking work to catch and correct errors. Experience working within a GM (General Motors) supplier environment, particularly with Early Part Orders and Labeling requirements. Familiarity with Print Release and Engineering Change/Process Change activity. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and independently. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. High level of proficiency in MS Office (including Word, Excel, and Project) Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, honest and accurate method in both an oral and written manner.
