Role Summary The Contracting Associate supports Market Access and Account Management by providing expertise in state Medicaid contracting. This role will have responsibility for managing the lifecycle of state Medicaid contracts, pricing models, accurate execution of contract terms and pricing obligations in accordance with business strategy and legal intent negotiated by the Account Team. This role will also support the Account Team with all state Medicaid bid solicitations, financial evaluations and contract performance reporting. This role acts as a subject matter expert for state Medicaid contracting, ensuring that contract terms reflect the business and legal intent negotiated by the Account Team. Key Responsibilities State Medicaid Contracting Expertise
  • Support negotiations, implementation, and manage the lifecycle of state Medicaid contracts.
  • Serve as a primary contracting liaison for state Medicaid contracts, including state Medicaid supplemental rebate agreements.
  • Interpret complex contract language with Account Manager, and identify implications for Best Price, Unit Rebate Price (URA), Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), and other government pricing metrics.
  • Manage redlining of State agreements driven by new policy dynamics (i.e., SR-193, Generous / Most Favored Nation). Financial Impact Analysis
  • Support financial analysis related to state Medicaid with Account Team counterpart.
  • Investigate discrepancies between expected and actual performance outcomes.
  • Support Medicaid Segment level impact analysis with Account Team. Compliance, Audit & Controls
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Government Pricing teams to ensure contract execution aligns with regulatory expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Facilitate engagements on behalf of Market Access with the following cross-functional business teams: o Legal o Finance o Operations
  • Follow compliance with company policies regarding contract execution and approval processes. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA
  • 3+ years of experience in state Medicaid contracting.
  • Strong understanding of how contract terms impact: o Pricing o Rebates o GTN o Government reporting
  • Experience redlining and negotiating contracts. Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with GTN modeling and government pricing analytics.
  • Strong data literacy; comfortable validating data sets, logic flows, and assumptions.
  • Experience working in highly regulated, dynamic environment with complex cross-functional dependencies. Key Skills & Competencies
