Job Description
Job title: Proposal managerEmployment type: 1099 contractor, Authorization to work in the United States is requiredJob location: RemoteWeekly hours: 10-20 hours weeklyCore business hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) Key qualificationsYou add the following required education, skills, and experience to our team:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, business, communications or related field.5+ years of professional experience in proposal development, proposal writing/management, and business development5+ years of market experience in human capital services, specifically talent development and learning.
Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that address client needs that align with the RFPExcellent writing and reading comprehension skillsExperience using AI tools to enhance technical writingStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in Google Workspace or similar system environment (e.g., Microsoft Office) and its common applications (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, presentations, process maps, shared folder management)You may also add some of the following preferred skills and experience:
Masters level degree in business, business administration, or a related fieldFederal procurement training desiredExperience in contract managementExperience working directly with small businesses is highly preferredCore responsibilities You will demonstrate your ability to Connect by: Developing and maintaining proposal plans and schedules, including timelines, deadlines, and responsibilities, while coordinating with team members to ensure adherence to deadlines.
Providing support in writing, proofreading proposals, and legal documents, and ensuring all language is clear, accurate, and appropriate.
Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and integrate their input into the proposal.
You will demonstrate your ability to Inspire by:
Managing proposal documents, including maintaining version control, organizing content, and ensuring that all required documents and attachments are included. Facilitate and coordinate the proposal process with subject matter experts (SMEs), managers and other company personnelReviewing and analyzing RFPs, RFQs (Request for Quotes), and other solicitation documents to understand the requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
Facilitating internal review meetings and revisions, incorporating feedback, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across all proposal sections.
You will demonstrate your ability to Transform by:
Utilizing AI tools to accelerate the technical writing process and to evaluate the written proposal for compliance, persuasiveness, and clarityTake the lead in the development of win themes and competitive positioning of the company throughout the proposalEnsuring all attachments and forms are correctly completed and submitted on time.
Translating complex technical solutions and consulting methodologies into persuasive and easy-to-understand language that highlights the firms capabilities and value proposition.
Ensuring that proposals reflect the companys brand, messaging, and tone while maintaining a professional and cohesive presentation throughout the proposal.
