$50.00 / Hour

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist II to join our dynamic project team. In this role, you will advise project managers on contract strategy and ensure that all aspects of contracts during the execution phase are expertly managed, with the ultimate objective of maximizing project revenues and mitigating commercial risk.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy:

Act as an integral project team member, participating in strategic commercial discussions to identify, evaluate, and mitigate contract risks.

Contract Administration:

Provide onshore and offshore teams with accurate summaries, including contract synopses, reviews, obligations matrices, and guidance on contractual requirements.

Contractual Correspondence:

Prepare and review all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged with clients, partners, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities during project execution.

Risk & Deliverable Monitoring:

Monitor all project deliverables proactively while identifying emerging commercial risks and opportunities.

Management of Change & Claims:

Assume overall responsibility for contractual and commercial issues, ensuring claims are issued within contractual timeframes and secured with internal approvals. Interface with cross-functional teams to negotiate claims against clients, joint venture partners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Law, Commerce, Business, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of contract management experience, with at least 2 years specifically in Subsea contracts preferred.

Industry Background:

Oil & Gas (O&G) industry experience is strictly required.

Skills:

Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of inter-disciplinary relations, and exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
