Essential Duties:
Contract Specialist II:
Develops, writes, revises, or prepares contracts, amendments, procedures, forms, related documents and provisions, financial/statistical graphs and/or reports.

Audits payment invoices for completeness, accuracy and compliance with terms of contract and governmental contracting rules, regulations and procedures.

Executes agreements and contractsMaintains, updates and compiles detailed data, reports, summaries, files, records, logs, statistics or specific contracts including procurement documents and revisions; writes routine and unique correspondence.

Meets with project managers to identify objectives, needs and issues concerning project contractsProvides technical and administrative support to include reviewing, processing, answers questions, provides assistance and handles complaints and resolution of discrepancies and problems regarding contracts, billing, payment and warrant actions.

Reviews contracts, amendments, subcontracts, procurement documents, change orders, work orders, supplemental agreements, time extensions, acceptance testing and consultant qualifications.

Reviews coordinates and processes routine open records requestsServes on project, partnering or quality management teams.

Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Additional duties for
Contract Specialist III:
Researches state and federal statutes and opinions, Department policies and previous contracts.

Reviews contracts, amendments, subcontracts, procurement documents, change orders, work orders, supplemental agreements, time extensions, acceptance testing and consultant qualifications.

Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Additional duties for
Contract Specialist IV:
Develops, writes, revises and/or prepares complex contracts, amendments, procedures, forms, related documents and provisions, financial/statistical graphs and reports.

Assists in developing plans for implementing new contract evaluation requirements.

May serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.

Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Additional duties for
Contract Specialist V:
Monitors contract performance by examining billings, fiscal data, and eligibility determinations for compliance with terms of contract and policies; recommends cancellation of contracts when deviations occur.

May serve as a lead worker by serving as a resource for complex questions; presenting workflow and operational updates to the supervisor/manager; providing input on team members’ career conversations; and approving leave requests to ensure operations coverage.

Makes presentations at local, state and federal levels.

Meets with project managers to identify objectives, needs and issues concerning project contractsPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
