Job Description
Job Summary Under general direction from the Regional Director of Operations Midwest the District Manager oversees their regional clubs in Southern IL and Missouri operations to ensure a positive member experience and financial success. The District Manager provides administrative support in areas of compliance, regulations, policies, and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop managers and produce talent within clubs for continuous operation for both individual and company growth. Drive performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Regularly complete brand excellence inspections and ensuring meeting or exceeding standards. Recruit, train, and setup presale space and new store openings in designated regions. Host and manage regular communication and scheduled meetings with managers and clubs. Assist the Vice President of Operations with budget preparation and ensure staying within approved budgets. Oversee escalated employee and member service issues and questions. Work with General Managers in following proper policies and procedures to reduce/eliminate collections. Interim or back-up General Managers as necessary. Analyze overtime, hours, and all aspects of payroll and time and attendance to ensure compliance and staying within budget. Continuously engaged in employee's performance, training, and re-training. Pre-approve all management hires. Ensure each club's cleanliness and superior appearance. Regular management meeting attendance. Other responsibilities as requested by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalency. Minimum of 1 year of General Manager experience or equivalent. Strong KPI performance. Possesses the traits to lead in a multi-unit environment. Demonstrated relationship management and team oriented. Strong business acumen. Ability to engage teammates and improve retention. Deliver on commitments. A passion and proven record of developing others. Lead and manage clubs through change and continuous improvement processes. Properly recognize team members for their accomplishments. Take care of our members and support the communities we reside in. Detail-oriented and high analytical thinking with proven ability to problem-solve. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn company specific programs. Performance must be in a good standing for a minimum of the past year.
Field Driven:
Role is 85% field driven and club facing (4-5 days in the field). Driving and local travel is a must. If GM is out for longer than 3 days DM will be required to cover. 4 major areas of focus: People, Sales, Facilities, & Profit.Fast Paced:

1 foot in today and 1 foot into 1 year from now Satisfactory background check. Preferred Qualifications Customer service background preferred. College degree is a plus. Experience managing high volume clubs or equivalent. Experience with HRIS systems is a plus. Experience with new store openings. Leadership experience in large volume clubs. Supervisory Qualifications This position manages General Managers within their assigned clubs. Work Environment This job operates in a gym and in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This role routinely works with standard gym equipment, like weights, weight machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and other similar machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the employee to lift 15 to 20 pounds frequently, 20 to 30 pounds occasionally and 50 to 75 pounds infrequently. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally encounter hazardous chemicals during their shift. Position type and expected hours of work This position is a full-time exempt position. The DM will generally work Monday through Friday and occasional weekends. Schedules are based on the needs of the business. Travel Travel is primarily local during business hours. However, depending on the "area of coverage" and locations of clubs, travel and overnight stays may be expected for a District Manager.
