Automotive Used Car Manager Job We are seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned operations, drive inventory strategy, and maximize profitability. The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealership's pre-owned department, including inventory acquisition, merchandising, pricing, and sales performance. This role requires strong market knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory turn and gross profit.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all used vehicle operations, including inventory selection, pricing, and merchandising Source and acquire inventory through auctions, trade-ins, and direct purchases Analyze market trends to ensure competitive pricing and optimal inventory mix Partner with Sales and Finance teams to maximize gross profit and vehicle turn Appraise trade-ins and ensure accurate vehicle valuations Monitor aging inventory and implement strategies to reduce days-to-turn Lead, train, and develop sales team on pre-owned processes and closing techniques Ensure vehicles are reconditioned and frontline-ready in a timely manner Maintain compliance with all dealership policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
3+ years of automotive experience, preferably in used car management or inventory management Strong understanding of used vehicle market trends, pricing tools, and inventory sourcing Proven track record of driving profitability and meeting sales targets Experience with appraisal, desking, and deal structuring Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Familiarity with dealership CRM and inventory management systems Why Join Us? Pay:
$80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per hour
