Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.Required Skills:
Essential Functions Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including financial activities, service levels, and performance outcomes Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring, orientation, evaluation, and development Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets ensuring compliance with allocated funding Coordinates and directs internal and external audits Fosters an environment that encourages professional growth and development Ensures alignment with the organization's continuum of care Maintains regular and reliable attendance Performs other duties as assignedNon-Essential Functions:
Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, and contractors Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information Perform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the work of others including planning, assigning, and reviewing work Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and corrective action for staffKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) Knowledge of business office standards and practices Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and lead Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Moderate computer skills including Microsoft Office and data systemsPhysical and Mental Demands:
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive computer tasks Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds Requires visual acuity including close, distance, and peripheral vision Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educationWork Environment:
