About This Role:
As the Global Commercialization Lead for SMA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercialization strategy for this key therapeutic area within the Global Product Strategy and Commercialization team. This position entails developing a robust global commercialization strategy and leading the Global Marketing team to maximize brand value and achieve revenue targets. Your responsibilities will include guiding the short-term brand plans and contributing to long-term lifecycle management decisions, ensuring asset value maximization from Phase 2 through launch. You will partner with regional and global affiliates, ensuring alignment and execution of market strategies. This role is integral to driving cross-functional collaboration and engagement with external stakeholders to support the business's strategic goals.
What You'll Do:
Develop and lead the global commercialization strategy across multiple regions.

Own the short-term brand plan, focusing on revenue maximization and supporting annual revenue targets.

Lead the Global Marketing team in delivering campaigns, messages, and marketing initiatives.

Provide commercial input to long-term strategic decisions, including lifecycle management and asset value maximization.

Partner with regions and affiliates to deliver on country-specific needs and optimize the asset value.

Conduct competitive workshops and market assessments to inform strategic decisions.

Engage with external stakeholders such as clinicians, policy stakeholders, and advocacy groups.

Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration across marketing, medical, and market access teams.

Ensure launch planning, readiness, and execution are effectively managed.

Operate within a Product Development & Commercialization model.
Who You Are:
You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global commercialization in the biotech or pharma industry. Your ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams is matched by your expertise in navigating complex alliances and competitive landscapes. You thrive in a matrix environment, influencing without direct authority and driving alignment across diverse teams. Your strong communication skills and insights-driven approach enable you to craft cohesive strategies that address global and regional market dynamics effectively.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related discipline.15+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry.

Direct affiliate in-market experience required; 5 years ex-US experience required.

Proven experience in biotech product launches.

Strong P&L experience preferred.

Therapeutic area experience in rare diseases, transplant, neuro, and immunology.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced degree such as MBA, MSc, or PhD.Experience with strategic financial trajectory planning.

Background in engaging with external partners and stakeholders.
Job Level:
ManagementAdditional InformationThe base compensation range for this role is: $234,000.00-$321,750.00Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
