On-site in Urgent Cares (Centereach & Ronkonkoma
  • 2 locations)
Schedule:
Varying shifts of up to twelve (12) to fourteen (14) hours. Days, evenings, weekends and holidays required.
Job Summary:
The Practice Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, growth, and overall development of the urgent care center. This role focuses on creating an exceptional patient experience, improving operational efficiency, increasing patient volume, marketing and building strong relationships within the local medical and business communities.
FLSA STATUS
This position is an exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act; thus, it is not eligible to receive overtime compensation, as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
  • Ensure the urgent care center is appropriately staffed and operating efficiently during scheduled business hours and special events
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational facility, including oversight of equipment and office functionality
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing of medical and office supplies while maintaining cost efficiency
  • Assist with front desk or clinical support duties during periods of high demand or staff shortages as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA regulations, CMS, DOH, and UCAOA standards and certifications
STAFFING, LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and clerical staff
  • Develop monthly staff schedules and assist with payroll review and approvals
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Address employee performance concerns and disciplinary matters promptly and professionally
  • Support staff development through ongoing coaching and operational guidance
  • Provide coverage on site based on operational need
PATIENT EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Promote a welcoming and efficient patient experience throughout all aspects of center operations
  • Review patient feedback and resolve customer service concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain high standards of patient satisfaction and operational quality
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH
  • Build and maintain relationships with local medical practices, hospitals, schools, and businesses
  • Develop and grow occupational medicine services within the community
  • Identify and participate in local marketing and community engagement opportunities
  • Support grassroots marketing initiatives to increase patient awareness and center growth
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required
CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, EMR systems, and practice management software
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare operations
  • Basic Math Skills Required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to change priorities quickly using sound judgement
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel between sites and to marketing events as necessary
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull in order to safely perform essential job duties
  • Ability to bend and twist repetitively
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
