Our specialized group also perpares buy-sell and estate/gift business valuation engagements. We are seeking an experienced Business Valuation Analyst / Forensic Accountant to join our growing practice in Salem, Oregon. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on technically rigorous work, values evidence-based analysis, and wants exposure to a variety of work including litigation support.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts and attorneys on matters involving: Business valuations Forensic accounting and tracing analyses Marital dissolution and complex property division Income analysis and support calculations Preparation of expert reports and supporting schedules Deposition and trial support Income tax analysis and conclusions This is a fully in‑office position. Candidates must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Salem area or surrounding area.
Required Qualifications:
Active CPA license CVA and/or ABV credential - completed or strongly preferred
MAFF/CFF
- completed or strongly preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience in forensic accounting, litigation support, valuation, or related fields Strong understanding of: Financial statements and complex account analysis Valuation theory and application Litigation‑driven accounting standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail Tax return preparation experience or advanced tax return literacy Ability to recognize and adjust financial statements to GAAP basis
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to expert report drafting and attorney‑facing work Experience working on family law or business consulting matters Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and defensibly Comfort working independently and managing multiple engagements Business and individual tax preparation Financial statement attest work
