Job Description

Arena Manager (Manages our Server Area) Pirates Voyage is seeking a dedicated, hard-working individual to join our Managerial Team. Manages all aspects of Arena Department including, but not limited to, server and beverage operations. To obtain optimum efficiency and economy of the Arena department operation by maximizing profits and maximizing a positive experience for our guests. Assure that guest will witness an outgoing, interactive, energetic, courteous host who will exceed expectations in friendliness, cleanliness, safety and dinner service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Directly supervises 50-75 employees in the Arena department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems and conflicts. Provide consistently excellent customer service, safe-quality food and beverages to all customers. Develop, control, and receive approval on all variations from budget from Director of Operations and General Manager of annual Arena department budgets. Coordinate with all Operations, Kitchen, On Site Sales, Production, and Merchandise departments to ensure a consistently high quality entertainment experience for all customers. Ensure compliance among all Arena department employees of all company customer service and safety procedures. Maintain an ethical environment among employees that is always beyond reproach. Develop, implement and maintain an effective departmental facilities and equipment maintenance program that protects the assets of the company. As a member of the management team, make recommendations to the development of company policies, long range planning, employee programs, and safety procedures for the facility. Must work at a rapid pace. Must help in other departments/areas as requested by management. Must get along well with fellow employees and maintain a professional business relationship at all times. Must maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance at the job.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Skills to include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Reasoning Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Educational Requirements to include two year certificate from college or technical school, or three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, occasional bending, stooping, twisting. Occasional carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional pushing/pulling over 100 lbs. Simple grasping with both hands. Frequent reaching high and low levels and exposure to changes in temperature and humidity. Occasional work around mechanical parts, frequent work around moving objects. Continuous oral communications at a conversational level. Continuous hearing at a conversational and high acuity level. Continuous near and far vision; depth perception. Continuous supervising others. Frequently making decisions based on facts and judgments. Continuous working under deadlines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent exposure to changes in temperature and humidity. Continuous working with and around others. Occasional working in cramped quarters. Occasional working around mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to mists, dust, gasses. Noise level is usually moderate to high.
OTHER ADDITIONAL DUTIES
The individual is also required to perform other duties such as: Provide special care for handicapped individuals. Act as security in needed situations. Respond to emergencies with guests and employees.
