# of Openings 2 Category Baseball Scouting Job Description As part of Domestic Scouting Department, the Area Scout will scout a specified territory and evaluate player talent. Recommend and sign quality major league prospects for the organization. Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Responsible for all baseball-related scouting activity that takes place in the territory Build and maintain relationships with players, families, coaches, and advisors in the area Evaluate draft eligible players and accurately determine their sign ability The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in scouting or related fields, as well as the ability to successfully evaluate amateur and professional baseball talent at all levels Our Team The Domestic Scouting Department is a critical component to the success of the Milwaukee Brewers organization. We must be elite at acquiring and developing talent from all acquisition avenues, and area scouts are vital to our decision process. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to scout players across the domestic amateur and affiliated pro demographics.
