Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive DME Dispatcher to coordinate the delivery and management of durable medical equipment (DME) within our healthcare network. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of transportation planning and logistics. As a DME Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of medical equipment, maintaining effective internal communication, and supporting overall supply chain operations to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Coordinate the dispatching of durable medical equipment shipments using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems to ensure on-time deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, healthcare providers, suppliers, and patients via multi-line phone systems while managing high call volumes with professionalism. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to optimize delivery routes, monitor vehicle locations, and improve transportation efficiency. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, inventory levels, and delivery schedules within logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during all transportation activities. Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage shipping & receiving processes, freight documentation, and logistics coordination for 3PL providers. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, managing phone etiquette professionally, and resolving delivery issues efficiently. Skills Proficiency in transportation planning tools including

GIS, GPS

technology, vehicle dispatch software, and transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management. Strong knowledge of road transportation operations, fleet management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for internal coordination and external customer interactions. Experience with data entry accuracy and typing speed to support logistics documentation. Familiarity with freight management regulations including DOT guidelines. Ability to analyze logistical data for process improvements; strong problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes specific to durable medical equipment distribution within a healthcare setting.
