SUMMARY The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily deliveries, scheduling and monitoring drivers and trucks, maintaining communication between sales staff and drivers, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation operations. This position serves as the central point of contact for delivery-related activities and helps resolve issues that may impact delivery schedules and customer service. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries, routes, and driver assignments.
- Monitor truck locations and delivery progress to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, sales representatives, and management regarding delivery status and schedule changes.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and transportation documentation.
- Respond to and resolve delivery delays, routing issues, and customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Verify delivery schedules and ensure all orders are dispatched correctly.
- Coordinate with the sales team to prioritize deliveries and meet customer requirements.
- Track vehicle availability and communicate maintenance needs when necessary.
- Update dispatch software, spreadsheets, and transportation records accurately.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- Follow company policies and transportation procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of dispatch, transportation, logistics, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with dispatch software, routing systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer, telephone, and office equipment. Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- No specific certifications required.
- Transportation, logistics, or dispatch-related certifications are preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
