We are looking for an experienced, organized, and highly dependable Moving Operations Dispatcher to join our team. This is a critical position within our operations department and will serve as the central point of communication between our customers, moving crews, drivers, management, and office staff. The ideal candidate is someone who can stay calm under pressure, think quickly, communicate clearly, and keep multiple moving parts organized at the same time. Position Overview The Moving Operations Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of crews, trucks, and customer moves from pickup through delivery. You will monitor scheduled moves, communicate with crews and drivers throughout the day, make real-time adjustments when circumstances change, and help ensure that every move is completed efficiently, professionally, and according to company standards. This is a fast-paced operations position where attention to detail, communication, accountability, and problem-solving are essential. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch moving crews and drivers for daily pickup and delivery schedules. Maintain and manage daily dispatch schedules to ensure crews are assigned efficiently. Communicate with drivers, movers, customers, and management throughout the move process. Confirm job details, addresses, appointment times, inventory information, access requirements, and special instructions. Monitor the status and progress of moves throughout the day. Track crews and trucks and proactively address delays, scheduling conflicts, or other operational issues. Make real-time schedule adjustments when necessary. Communicate route changes, customer updates, and operational instructions to field crews. Ensure crews have the appropriate information and resources needed to successfully complete each job. Follow up on delayed, rescheduled, or otherwise problematic moves. Escalate significant customer or operational issues to management when necessary. Maintain accurate dispatch records, notes, and documentation. Help coordinate long-distance pickup and delivery schedules. Work closely with operations and management to maximize crew and truck utilization. Assist with after-hours or emergency operational issues when required. Maintain professional communication with customers and field personnel at all times. Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards. Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, moving, trucking, or operations experience preferred. Strong computer and technology skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of an operations team. Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance. Moving Industry Experience Is a Major Plus Experience in the moving industry is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience coordinating moving crews, long-distance moves, interstate transportation, truck scheduling, pickups, deliveries, or moving operations will be highly valued.
