Dispatcher/Logistics Clerk

Interior Exterior Building Supply, the number one commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is searching for Dispatcher/Logistics Clerk for our Melbourne, FL location! Job Responsibilities Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destination Arrange shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing and expediting orders Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, current status, and answering questions Tracks driver assignments and other shipping data in a computer database Perform administrative tasks such as arranging transportation methods, and managing shipping schedules Ensure that electronic or paper files are kept accurately and up-to-date in order to track orders and answer billing questions Assist in inspecting orders that arrive at the facility to identify damage and input information into inventory records Handle replacement for incorrect or damaged goods Prepare shipping paperwork, complete shipping transactions in supply chain system, and ship products per customer requirements Assist with warehouse organization Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-2 + years of dispatching/logistics experience Forklift certification or the ability to get certified is required Excellent communication skills are required Proficient in Microsoft Office required Why work for Interior Exterior Building Supply?
