Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher with extensive experience in the LTL freight industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and other KPI metrics. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in vehicle dispatch software, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. The Dispatcher plays a vital role in optimizing operations and providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Coordinate and assign pickups to drivers, ensuring efficient routing and timely deliveries. Shift can start as early as 6:30AM, but no later than 7:30AM, and work until finish, usually around 4:30 to 5:30PM Utilize vehicle dispatch software to monitor shipments, update statuses, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via phone and other communication channels to facilitate smooth operations. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards during all dispatch activities. Maintain organized records of shipments, driver logs, and related documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Prioritize and manage multiple dispatch tasks in a fast-paced environment within the LTL freight industry. Monitor transportation schedules and adjust plans proactively to address delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Skills Proven experience in the LTL freight industry for more than 5 years. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Excellent phone communication skills for effective coordination with drivers and clients. Familiarity with vehicle dispatch software used within the freight industry. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
