Job Description

Operations & Dispatch Manager The Role This is an end-to-end ownership role. You will be responsible for ensuring that every job we sell is completed correctly, on time, and by the right crew. Your job is to prevent operational problems before they happen. That means ensuring crews arrive on-site with clear instructions, the proper equipment, and everything they need to complete the work successfully. Key Responsibilities Manage scheduling and dispatch for all five crews, assigning the right team to each job based on its scope, location, requirements, and crew availability. Translate job information provided by our sales team into clear, detailed, and actionable instructions for field crews. Confirm that crews understand the job requirements before arriving on-site. Oversee the mechanic and shop operations to ensure trucks and equipment are properly maintained, available, and ready for scheduled work. Coordinate the unloading of trucks and deliveries so freight and equipment move efficiently and without unnecessary delays. Track labor hours for every job from start to finish. Ensure job hours and related information are reported accurately so the sales and accounting teams can bill clients correctly. Identify and address problems when a job runs longer than expected, a crew needs clarification, or equipment is not where it needs to be. Serve as the central point of accountability between the sales team, shop, mechanic, and field crews. What We're Looking For Experience scheduling or dispatching crews, trucks, or field teams—preferably in rigging, machinery moving, trucking, logistics, construction, or a related trade. The ability to manage multiple crews, jobs, locations, and tight timelines without losing track of important details. Strong communication skills and the ability to turn job information into instructions that crews can clearly understand and execute. Basic mechanical or equipment knowledge is helpful, as you will coordinate with the mechanic and help ensure trucks and equipment remain job-ready. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when tracking job hours and information used for client billing. A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving scheduling and operational problems. The leadership skills to earn the respect of field crews and hold employees accountable without creating unnecessary friction. The ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in a fast-moving work environment. Why This Role Matters Every job we complete depends on the right crew arriving prepared, on time, and with the correct information and equipment. This position is the operational link between our sales team, shop, mechanic, and field crews. When this role is handled well, jobs run smoothly, clients receive excellent service, and billing is completed accurately. When details are missed, the company loses time, money, and client trust. If you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems, and being the person who keeps a fast-moving operation organized and moving forward, this may be the right seat for you.
