Job Description
The Load Planner/Dispatcher is responsible for planning and coordinating daily loads for transportation vehicles while maximizing transportation efficiency and minimizing costs. They ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies, communicate load information to drivers and other stakeholders, monitor vehicle location and status during transport for on time deliveries, and adjust load plans as needed to account for unexpected issues. The Load Planner/Dispatcher must thrive with problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate the movement of customer freight in the United States region assigned. Communicate with customers to ensure that their needs are met MUST be able to negotiate rates with carriers, shippers, brokers, and customers Monitor fleet performance Operate with efficiency internally within all operations team members - including within the customer service, dispatching, driver workforce, and driver management teams - to ensure all loads are picked up and delivered on time, all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations and the equipment matches the shipper requirements Manage problems as they arise to ensure on-time service. Utilize the transportation management system (TMS) Mcleod Loadmaster and Powerbroker to keep accurate freight movements and load information. Day-time scheduleRequirements:
Must have at least 1 year experienceand demonstrated success managing multiple teams in a transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations management role.A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS
of experience in a transportation or logistics role. Experience with managing refrigerated freight or experience with McLeod is a plus.Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
